Resumen de Some Issues and Developments in Computer‐Based Training (CBT)
Computer‐based training (CBT) is an area of training technology which is rapidly developing and should be considered in any discussion of new training initiatives. This paper attempts to identify some of the different training configurations in which CBT may occur. It is argued that CBT should be viewed as providing certain instruction role(s) within a general training system. At present it is evident that it is not possible for hard recommendations concerning CBT yet to emerge. Even within the specialized context of problem diagnosis performance, the use and approach of CBT studies is considerably different The ACTS and AIDE systems are described and further evaluations of different uses and modifications of such systems will develop our understanding of CBT as a potential instructional solution.
