Resumen de Teaching the General Methods of Geometrical Transformations
The effective teaching of any subject must include not only facts to be mastered, but also an appropriate and logical system of cognitive activity. Our main interest is in those approaches which provide a means of mastering wide areas of knowledge. P. Ya Gal'perin's notion of a third type of teaching offers a method of developing such approaches. By following this notion, a method is revealed for teaching any example within a chosen subject area. The procedure involves establishing first: the ‘main facts’, the concepts and principles basic to the subject area under consideration; second, the general rules for combining these ‘units’. Learning by this method will enable pupils to analyse any example within the subject area covered or to construct or synthesize new examples within it.I.A.
