  • Problems play an important part throughout the teaching system. Problem solving is the medium through which essential connections are made between practice and theory, and the ability to set up and to solve a problem is a measure of a pupil's training and general preparedness. This paper describes the authors’ experience in developing and teaching a general approach to problem solving in primary education.
