Frente a una interpretación del pensamiento de santo Tomás de Aquino que entiende la moción divina de la voluntad creada tan sólo proporcionando un impulso genérico a ésta, se defiende en este artículo que Dios mueve en concreto para cada elección buena. Esta moción en nada impide la contingencia de las creaturas y tampoco la libertad de arbitrio. También se muestra cómo el pensamiento de Báñez es bastante fiel a santo Tomás en esto y no pretende otra cosa sino sencillamente darlo a conocer y defenderlo de las malinterpretaciones molinistas. Por eso, se muestra que la moción divina de la voluntad no hace a Dios responsable del pecado, sobre todo porque eso sólo sería posible si la causalidad divina no fuera la acción del ser eterno, el cual se encuentra al margen de la causalidad creada.

Against an interpretation of Saint Thomas Aquinas’s thought that understands the divine motion of the created will only providing a generic impulse to it, in this article is defended that God moves specifically for every good choice. This motion doesn’t prevent at all the contingency of creatures and neither freedom of choice. Is also shown how Báñez’s thought is quite faithful to Saint Thomas in this and doesn’t intend anything else but simply to make it known and defend it from molinists misinterpretations. That’s why is shown that the divine motion of the will doesn’s make God responsible for sin, especially since that would only be possible if divine causality were not the action of the eternal God, who is outside the created causality.
