The Libre de caça is a manuscript written in Catalan probably towards the end of the 15th century. This technical text compiles hunting, ornithological and medical information, as the falconers needed to have some special knowledge in order to care for the birds. From a linguistic point of view, this text provides a significant lexical corpus mainly related to the semantic field of falconry: types of birds, anatomy of the animals, botany, symptoms and remedies for some illnesses, etc. This article analyses a lexical sub-corpus from this Libre de caça which appears in the Catalan-Valencian-Balearic Dictionary, since for this work a comprehensive selection of this historic manual had been carried out, and we offer a proposal for a classification of the studied words into:
hapax legomena, new denotations and newly documented entries.

Das Libre de caça ist ein auf Katalanisch verfasstes Manuskript, das wohl aus dem Ende des 15. Jahrhunderts stammt. Es handelt sich um ein technisches Traktat über die Falkenjagd, das Informationen über Wildtierjagd, Vogelkunde und Medizin enthält, da die Falkner derartiges Fachwissen für die Pflege der Jagdvögel benötigten. In sprachlicher Hinsicht liefert dieses Handbuch eine umfangreiche Sammlung an lexikalischen Ausdrücken, die sich größtenteils auf das Wortfeld der Falknerei beziehen: Arten von Greifvögeln, Anatomie der Tiere, Botanik, Symptome von und Heilmittel für bestimmte Krankheiten etc. Die vorliegende Studie widmet sich dem lexikalischen Teilkorpus des Libre de caça, das im Diccionari Català-Valencià-Balear dokumentiert ist, da für dieses lexikographische Werk eine sorgfältige Auswertung des Libre vorgenommen wurde, und liefert einen Vorschlag zur Klassifizierung des untersuchten Wortmaterials in Einzelbelege (Hapax), neu dokumentierte Wörter und neue Wortbedeutungen
