    L’article pretén oferir una primera visió de conjunt de les pintures murals gòtiques de l’absis de Santa Maria de Terrassa (Barcelona), actualment traspassades a diverses teles custodiades al Museu de Terrassa. Partint d’una breu història del seu descobriment i posterior arrencament, s’hi analitzen els diversos vestigis de les escenes conservades, tot indicant-ne la disposició original. Entre altres qüestions, es proposa la identificació d’un singular cicle de la infantesa de la Mare de Déu, fins ara no discutit per la crítica, que complementaria el ja conegut de la mort i la glorificació de la Verge. En última instància, s’advoca en favor d’una autoria comuna entre aquestes pintures i les que es conserven al mur nord de la veïna església de Sant Pere de Terrassa.

    This article aims to offer a first overview of the Gothic mural paintings from the apse of Santa Maria in Terrassa (Barcelona), which at one point were transferred to canvas and are currently kept in the Museu de Terrassa. Starting from a brief historic survey of their discovery and subsequent removal, we analyze the different vestiges of the preserved scenes and indicate their original arrangement. Among others, we identify an exceptional childhood of the Mother of God cycle, hitherto not discussed by critics, which would complement the already known cycle of the death and glorification of the Virgin. Finally, we advocate that these paintings and those preserved on the north wall of the nearby church of Sant Pere in Terrassa are of the same authorship.
