    In this article the author elaborates a description of the movement of negativity proposed by J. C. Scannone as constitutive of the concept of liberation. The work of the negative, together with the speculative movement that Ignatian discernment proposes, testify to the ethico-political commitment of his thought, whose dedication seeks to be here recognized and critically valued. The work consists of three parts: first, the general aspects of the Jesuit theologian's thought are pointed out; second, the concept of liberation is developed from the perspective of negation; and, thirdly, some critical evaluations are deployed according to the sense of "no" and "nothing" in general. The work concludes by showing how the movement and event of liberating (self)questioning, evident in the structure of the symbol and the analogy, constitute the nucleus of this theological perspective of liberation.

    En el presente artículo el autor elabora una descripción del movimiento de la negatividad que propone J. C. Scannone en tanto constitutiva del concepto de liberación. El trabajo de lo negativo, junto con el movimiento especulativo que propone el discernimiento ignaciano, atestiguan la apuesta ético-política de su pensamiento, cuya entrega busca ser aquí reconocida y valorada críticamente. El trabajo consta de tres partes: primero se señalan los aspectos generales del pensamiento del teólogo jesuita; en segundo lugar, se desarrolla el concepto de liberación desde la perspectiva de la negación; y, en tercer lugar, se despliegan algunas valoraciones críticas conforme al sentido del “no” y de “la nada” en general. Se concluye mostrando cómo el movimiento y acontecimiento de (auto)cuestionamiento liberador patente en la estructura del símbolo y la analogía, constituyen el núcleo de esta perspectiva teológica de liberación.
