Resumen de Las Termas Orientales de La Alcudia (Elche, Alicante): nuevas perspectivas de la investigación reciente (proyecto Astero-UA-Patrimonio Virtual)

En la Colonia Iuilia llici Augusta, fundación romana de época cesariana/triunviral (43-42 a. C.) y refundada en época augustea (27-26 a. C.), actual yacimiento de La Alcudia de Elche analizamos las termas de su sector oriental. Los baños tienen múltiples fases, con una principal del último tercio del siglo I d. C. que presenta una gran natatio y un conjunto de termal en el que distinguimos el apodyterium y las salas calefactadas algunas de ellas pavimentadas con mosaicos polícromos. Posteriormente los baños se reducen de tamaño para transformarse en viviendas en época bajoimperial y tardía. | In the Colonia luilia Jlici Augusta, a Roman foundation of the Caesarian / Triumvirate period (43-42 BC), and refounded in the Augustan period (27-26 BC). In the current site of La Alcudia de Elche, we have analyzed the thermal baths of its Eastern sector. The bathrooms have multiple phases, with a main one dated from the last third of the 1st century AD, shows a great natatio and a set of thermal rooms in which we distinguished the apodyterium and the heated some of them paved with polychrome mosaics. Afterwards, the bathrooms were reduced in size, after that the complex was transformed into houses in the late roman period.
