Actualmente los eSport se han convertido en un sector esencial en el área de las TICs, generando grandes ingresos entre los profesionales. Por este motivo, el objetivo de este estudio es describir el perfil de jugador y los hábitos deportivos de los jugadores asistentes a un evento de eSport. La muestra constó de 390 participantes que asistieron al torneo League of Legends “Iberian Cup 2019” en Barcelona. El instrumento utilizado fue un cuestionario digital “Ad-hoc”, cumplimentado “in situ”. El juego más popular entre los participantes fue League of Legends, con un mayor porcentaje de participación en la liga “Oro”. En los demás resultados, los participantes preferían “jugar con amigos” y “para divertirse”; la mayoría de los participantes jugaba entre 10-20 horas, su práctica deportiva decrecía a mayor tiempo de juego, y únicamente un 7,4% formaba parte de un club. Estos resultados son útiles para detallar el perfil del “gamer” actual.

ESports are an essential sector in the ICT area, generating large revenues among professionals. For this reason, the objective of this study is to detail the player profile and sports habits of players attending an eSport event. The sample consisted of 390 participants who attended the League of Legends "Iberian Cup 2019" tournament in Barcelona. The instrument used was a digital "Ad hoc" questionnaire, filled in "in situ". The most popular game among participants was "League of Legends, with a higher percentage of participation in the "Gold" league. In the other results, participants preferred "playing with friends" and for fun; most participants played between 10-20 hours, their sports practice decreased to more dedication and hours of play, and only 7,4% were part of a club. These results are useful to detail the profile of the current gamer.
