En este trabajo se pretende mostrar de forma cronológica la situación de la economía hispánica en la edad moderna, más concretamente la concerniente a los préstamos y asientos recurrentemente solicitados por los monarcas Habsburgo a los banqueros particulares. Veremos la coyuntura específica en cada reinado, los acontecimientos más relevantes adecuándolos al tema, los empréstitos, y el cambio de hegemonía y perfil de los primeros asentistas: de los Fugger, los Affaitati, pasando por los Ruiz y los grandes banqueros portugueses y genoveses.

In this paper we pretend to show, chronologically, the situation of the Hispanic economy in the modern age, more specifically that concerning the loans and seats repeatedly requested by the Habsburg monarchs to private bankers. We will see the specific conjuncture in each reign, the most relevant events appropriate to the theme, the loans, and the change of hegemony and profile of the first assentists: of the Fuggers, the Affaitati, passing through the Ruiz and the great Portuguese and Genoese bankers.
