Resumen de Ética y responsabilidad en la comunicación de instituciones de educación superior a través de Internet: análisis comparativo a nivel mundial

En este trabajo se investigan las formas de comunicación que,desde la universidad,se dirigen hacia sus públicos internos y externos, en términos de comportamiento ético a través de los sitios web oficiales y en redes sociales, específicamente en Facebook. Metodológicamente,se realiza una aproximación cuantitativa tomando una muestra de las 18 universidades más importantes a nivel mundial según el QS Ranking y aplicando un instrumento para identificar la existencia de mensajes con contenido ético, canales de comunicación específicos y presencia en redes sociales. Como reflexión final se plantea la necesidad de que las organizaciones educativas trabajen en la generación de contenidos éticos claros, fáciles de encontrar en sus sitios web, que alienten a sus públicos para la toma de conciencia ética en los temas y problemas que aquejan a la humanidad, así como hacia el diálogo y participación en los temas de relevancia.

This paper investigates the forms of communication that from the university are directed towards their internal and external audiences, in terms of ethical behavior through officialwebsites and social networks, specifically Facebook.Methodologically, a quantitative approach is made by taking a sample of the 18 most important universities worldwide according to the QS Ranking and applying an instrument to identify the existence of messages with ethical content, specific communication channels and presence in social networks.As a final reflection, the need arises for educational organizations to work on the generation of clear ethical contents, easy to find on their websites, that encourage their audiences to take an ethical conscience on the issues and problems that afflict humanity, as well as towards dialogue and participation in relevant issues
