El mito de la homogeneidad. La soberanía en el concepto de nación de naciones.

    La teoría de la hegemonía y la concepción discursiva de la política permiten romper con la forma esencialista de entender el concepto de homogeneidad. Así, es posible concebirlo como un mito político sostenido sobre una construcción conceptual en la que la heterogeneidad no sería su opuesto, sino su reverso. Indagar en la estructura de esa construcción es útil para el estudio de una cuestión que atraviesa muchos conflictos sobre nacionalismo: la gestión de la tensión entre la necesidad de homogeneidad que requiere la decisión soberana y la pretensión de legitimar la comunidad a través de la reivindicación de heterogeneidad. Las Federaciones, entendidas a través de Carl Schmitt, constituyen un interesante intento de ello. También lo son los conceptos de nación de naciones desarrollados en España por el republicanismo federal en el siglo XIX y durante la Transición en el siglo siguiente. Tras analizarlos, concluimos que ambos ofrecen fórmulas problemáticas

    : The theory of hegemony and the discursive conception of politics allow for a break with the essentialist way of understanding the concept of homogeneity. Thus, it is posible to conceive it as a political myth sustained on a conceptual construction in which heterogeneity would not be its opposite, but its reverse. To investigate the structure of this construction is useful for the study of a question that goes through many conflicts about nationalism: the management of the tensión between the need for homogeneity required by the sovereign decisión and the pretensión of legitimizing the community through the claim of heterogeneity.

    The Federations, understood through Carl Schmitt, are an interesting attempt at this. So are the concepts of nation of nations developed in Spain by federal republicanism in the 19th century and during the period of transition from dictatorship to democracy in the following century.

    After analysing them, we conclude that both offer problematic formulas.
