La teología cristiana busca desde el siglo pasado cauces de encuentro con la cultura científica moderna para dar respuesta a distintos interrogantes del ser humano. Es mucho más que un mero ejercicio retórico intelectual, pues está en juego el sentido del ser humano en este mundo: ¿qué hacemos aquí?, ¿qué sentido tiene este universo?, ¿qué tarea es la que nos ha tocado llevar a cabo en este mundo? El autor analiza si el concepto cristiano clásico de creación y la moderna visión de evolución cósmica, biológica y antropológica son compatibles entre sí, sacando a la luz algunos aspectos fundamentales del nuevo concepto teológico de creación evolutiva con el que se busca acercar posturas entre creación y evolución.

From last century on Christian theology seeks channels of encounter with modern scientific culture in order to answer a number of questions regarding human beings. Such questions go beyond a mere intellectual exercise, for the sense of the human being in this world is at stake: What are we doing here? What task do we have to carry out? The author analyzes whether the classical Christian concept of creation and the modern vision of cosmic, biological and anthropological evolution are compatible with each other, bringing to light some fundamental aspects of the new theological concept of evolutionary creation that is intended to lay out bridges between creation and evolution.
