  La asignatura Bioética y Derecho Civil perteneciente a la Disciplina Derecho Civil y Familia, se encuentra incorporada al currículo optativo de la Carrera de Derecho de la Universidad de Granma, desde la implementación del Plan de Estudios D, la misma se encarga de acercar a los estudiantes al análisis de la relación bioética y bioderecho, el carácter de la vida ante el Derecho, entre otros elementos que refuerzan la formación humanista del sistema educativo, así como del profesional del Derecho, aspectos que ante el proceso de actualización del ordenamiento jurídico cubano, necesita de una reevaluación de los contenidos y el material bibliográfico utilizado
