Senwosret III was the only king who built two funerary complexes since those from the I Dynasty. He also was the only one who returned to Abydos. This paper looks for an aswer to these questions through the duality of the Egyptian way of thinking and the changes imprinted on the Egyptian king-god archetype by the crisis of the First Intermediate Period.
