Resumen de Avance a la III campaña de excavaciones del castro protohistórico de Marueleza (Nabarniz, Bizkaia), 1984, y excavación de urgencia en el castro de Kosmoaga (Luno, Bizkaia)

Siguiendo la línea de mantener una información anual sobre los aspectos que ponga de manifiesto la excavación del Castro Marueleza en sus sucesivas campañas, presentamos en este artículo los dos aspectos de máximo interés. El primero, el aspecto arquitectónico que pone de relieve la existencia de una variación de trazado y· complejidad de la muralla y la puerta con respecto a los presupuestos anteriores. Segundo la aparición de cerámicas a torno rápido de características idénticas a la cerámica celtibérica, asociada a cerámica a mano con origen definido al final del último período del Hierro ! localizadas en otros yacimientos como La Atalaya y la Custodia en Navarra, Agullana y en necrópolis de la región de Arcachón. Esto supone una variación cronológica hacia el s. 11 AJC.
Por lo que al castro Kosmoaga se refiere su excavación se realiza en un momento de peligro para la integridad de una parte del mismo. La excavación de Úrgencia ha puesto de manifiesto la existencia-de cerámica a mano y a torno, esta última clasificada como celtibérica. Ambas son paralelizables con las halladas en el castro de Marueleza, a 6 km. de distancia en línea recta y separados por la Ría de Guernica. Ambos castros representan un foco de atención de gran interés para la arqueología Protohistórica vizcaína, siendo este último descubierto, el segundo recinto certificado para la Edad del Hierro en Vizcaya.

Horrek, aldi-hurrenkeran, K.a.-ko 11 menderaaldatzea dakar.

This article presents the two most relevant aspects of the digging in this hillfort, as we have been doing in the former years. First, the architectonic aspect shows us the existence of sorne variations in relation to the supposed course and the complexity of the wall and its door. Secondly, the appearance of the first traces of materials. Among them, it is especially important a kind of pottery elaborated on fast potter's wheel identical to the celtiberic pottery, that was found together with hand pottery original from the end of the First lron Age and located in Navarresian sites: Atalaya, La Custodia, Agullana and in necropolis of Arcachon. This indicates a chronological variation around the second century B. C. On the other hand, the excavations at the Hillfort "Kosmoaga" have been undertaken in a moment of danger. The emergency excavations have shown two types of pottery: handmade pottery and celtiberic pottery. Both of types can be related to the pottery from Marueleza, 6 km. to the East from Ké>smoaga and separated by the estuary. Both hillforts representan extremely interesting in Vizcaya. Kosmoaga is the second cert'ified hillfort of the lron Age in Vizcaya.
