Resumen de Redes sociales en la educación universitaria

  La revolución informática ha generado nuevos espacios de relación y vías de comunicación, ocio e información, como pueden ser las redes sociales. Su uso se ha convertido en algo habitual para desenvolverse en la sociedad actual, pero paradójicamente esta realidad está, en muchos casos, al margen de las aulas, aunque cuenten con un enorme potencial educativo. En los jóvenes esta realidad es más evidente, ya que utilizan principalmente las redes sociales para comunicarse, pudiendo convertirse en una herramienta potencialmente educativa en el ámbito universitario. Así nos planteamos los siguientes objetivos: favorecer el aprendizaje cooperativo del alumnado; utilizar las potencialidades educativas de las Redes Sociales; desarrollar un aprendizaje del alumnado más activo y participativo y contribuir a una mayor comprensión de los contenidos de las diferentes materias implicadas. Básicamente hemos seguido el Blended Learning, combinado con Flipped Classroom y el uso de la red social YouTube. Los resultados conseguidos han sido: una mayor comprensión de los contenidos de la materia, papel más activo del alumnado y fortalecimiento de la competencias digitales.

  The computer revolution has generated new spaces for relationships and communication, leisure and information channels, such as social networks. Its use has become commonplace to function in today’s society, but paradoxically this reality is, in many cases, on the fringes of the classrooms, although they have enormous educational potential. In young people this reality is more evident, they mainly use social networks to communicate so that they can become a tool with educational potential in the university environment. This is how the following objectives were set: To favor the cooperative learning of students; To use the educational potential of Social Networks; To develop a more active and participative student learning and contribute to a greater understanding of the contents of the different subjects involved. Basically, we have followed a Blended Learning format, combined with the Flipped Classroom methodology and the use of the YouTube social network. Results obtained were: a greater understanding of the content of the subject, more active role of students and strengthening of digital skills.
