Resumen de Competencia mediática e infoviolencia: Acceso, uso y comprensión crítica de niñas y mujeres jóvenes frente a mensajes violentos en televisión y smartphones

  La investigación analiza el acceso, uso, y comprensión crítica de niñas y mujeres jóvenes frente a mensajes violentos en televisión y smarthphones. La muestra está constituida por niñas de 10 a 14 años y mujeres jóvenes de 20 a 29 años de los distritos Max Paredes y Periférica de la ciudad de La Paz, reconocidos como los más violentos por el gobierno municipal (Villegas, 2015). El estudio es descriptivo y comparativo, con aplicación de una encuesta a 131 niñas y 272 mujeres jóvenes. Los resultados evidencian que el 94,4% de niñas encuestadas identifican contenidos violentos en televisión; asimismo para el 41,1% de ellas, estos mensajes se traducen en insultos, apodos y estereotipos. En el caso de las mujeres jóvenes el 95,9% de ellas considera que existe contenido violento en televisión, el cual para el 43,5% se expresa a través de imágenes indecentes y contenido que es solo para adultos.

  The study analyzes the access, use, and critical understanding of girls and young women in the face of violent messages on television and smartphones. The sample consists of girls aged between 10 and 14 and young women between the ages of 20 and 29 from the Max Paredes and Peripheral districts of the city of La Paz, recognized as the most violent by the municipal government (Villegas, 2015). The study is descriptive and comparative, with a survey of 131 girls and 272 young women. The results show that 94.4% of girls surveyed identify violent content on television; also for 41.1% of them, these messages translate into insults, nicknames and stereotypes. In the case of young women, 95.9% of them consider that there is violent content on television, which for 43.5% is expressed through indecent images and content that is only for adults.
