Las industrias del magdaleniense superior-final de la cueva de Abittaga (Amoroto, Vizcaya)

    El estudio que se presenta de las industrias de Abittaga, niveles VII a IV, permite, junto a los escasos datos de fauna o sedimentología disponibles, una más amplia adscripción cronológica y cultural. Parece que los niveles citados -no se abordan las capas superiores con cerámica- deben. responder a ocupaciones ocasionales en las fases finales del Wurm IV y Preboreal de grupos quizá venidos de Lumentxa, yacimiento que presenta mejores condiciones de habitabilidad a la vista de sus más importantes depósitos.

    Esas ocupaciones tienen sólo cierto relieve en la época de formación del nivel VII, culturalmente perteneciente a un Magdaleniense Superior-Final bastante avanzado por sus caracteres industriales. Dado el emplazamiento de Abittaga y la importancia relativa de los arpones, cabe pensar en una cierta especialización del yacimiento en actividades de pesca durante ese momento Magdaleniense.

    The present study of the industries of Abittaga of levels VII to IV together with tne scarce of fauna and sedimentology available allows us to make a broader-based chronological and cultural assignment. lt appears that these levels (the: higher levels with potery are not considered) must correspond to occasional ocupations, in the final phases of Wurm IV and Preboreal, by groups who may have come from Lumentxa. This latter sitewas more habitable given the more important deposits found there.

    The occupation of Abittaga has a certain importance only in the period corresponding to the formation of level VII, wtlich belongs culturally to Upper-Late Magdalenian which appears to be quite advanced given its industrial characteristics. The location of Abittaga and the relative importance of harpoons, leads us to think that this site displayed a degree of speci~lization in fishing in this period of the Magdalenian.

    Abittaga-ko industrientan eginiko azterketak, VII eta IV mailen bitartean, faunaz eta sedimentologiaz ditugun datu urriekin batera, atxekimendu kultural eta kronologiko zabalago bat egiten du posible. Alpaturiko mailak, -ez dira kontutan hartzen keramikadun goi-mailak- agian Lumentxatik, Wurm IV eta Borealaurre aldien azken faseetan etorritako zenbait talderen noizik behineko okupazioak direla ematen du. Lumentxak habitagarritasun-baldintza hobeko aztarnategia dirudi, bere sedimentu inportanteagoen arauera.

    Kolonikuntza hauek, VII mailaren erakuntz sasoian egiten dira zerbait nabarmenak. Kulturalki, Goi-Madeleine aldiko bukaeran kokatzen da bere ezaugarri industrialak direla eta. Abittagaren lekutasunak eta arpoien garrantzi erlatiboak, Madeleine aldiko une honetan, aztarnategia arrantzu-ekintzetan espezialdua dagoela pentsa erazten digute.
