Una crisis sanitaria trae consigo el desbalance de las posibilidades de brindar la atención médica y la atención clínica por la demanda de la población. La profesión médica es humanista por naturaleza y, en ese contexto, quien recibe el llamado de la vocación médica está en la obligación de prestar sus servicios aun cuando la salud propia esté comprometida. Es importante que la sociedad reconozca que el COVID-19 es una enfermedad multifactorial, no sólo se manifiesta con síntomas respiratorios, aún no existe una identificación plena de toda la sintomatología que puede presentar, por lo que es relevante que el clínico explique al paciente que debe expresar la aparición del más mínimo síntoma para poder brindarle una atención correcta y adecuada.

A health crisis brings with it an imbalance in the possibilities of providing medical care and clinical care due to the demand of the population. Although the medical profession is humanistic by nature and in this context whoever receives the call of the medical vocation, is obliged to provide their services even when their own health is compromised. It is important that society recognizes that COVID-19 is a multifactorial disease not only manifested with respiratory symptoms, that there is still no full identification of all the symptoms that it may present, so it is relevant that the clinician explain to the patient that he should express the appearance of the slightest symptom in order to provide correct and adequate care.
