Resumen de An Intelligent Tutoring System for the Factorization of Algebraic Expressions in Smalltalk/V

• In this paper we present an intelligent tutoring system (ITS). It consists of four modules: an expert domain is dealt with (in our case, factorization of algebraic expressions), a student modeller, a real tutorial module, and a user interface. We made use of an ‘object oriented’ language, Smalltalk/V, for our realization. The characteristics of this language allowed us to create a ‘friendly’ learning environment.
