Resumen de Teatro e movimentos sociais: diferentes compromissos com o "real" na cena brasileira

This work relates social movements in Brazil to the cultural production engaged with the representation of the poor classes, focusing mainly scenical manifestations.
It contrasts the artistical production between the years 1964 and 1968, when artists tried to resist or protest against the military regime (denouncing its relationship to external contradictions of capitalism) with the cultural trend revealed from the 90’s on, in which the use of art as a means of fighting against social inegalities doesn’t necessarily match with a refusal of captalism or cultural industry. In this recent theatrical, movie and literary production some traditions of naturalism esthetic have been recreated.
They will be discussed and related to some current political practices, which privilege responses to the invisibility of the subaltern groups as a solution to their social exclusion

O trabalho relaciona as transformações ocorridas nos movimentos sociais no Brasil e a produção artística comprometida com a representação das classes populares, priorizando as manifestações cênicas. Contrasta a agitação política e cultural ocorrida entre os anos 1964 e 1968, em que se destacaram manifestações artísticas de resistência ou protesto contra o regime instituído pelo golpe militar, com o movimento artístico e cultural que vem crescendo desde os anos 1990, em que a denúncia da exclusão social não implica contestação da lógica do mercado e se recuperam tradições e perspectivas do naturalismo no teatro, no romance e no cinema. Finalmente, discutem-se as repercussões de políticas de inclusão social baseadas na visibilidade nos movimentos sociais e na produção cultural.
