    Hay comentarios en Internet relativos al interés de organizaciones yihadistas para utilizar el virus ébola en atentados terroristas. Para lo cual, estarían dispuestos a utilizar voluntarios (“mártires del ébola”) o bombas sucias para diseminar el virus. Pero para ello, los terroristas tendrían que haber superado una serie de hitos para alcanzar el éxito del ataque como son: la obtención, producción, experimentación y diseminación del agente biológico. Nuestra ventaja es que no resulta tan sencillo como ellos plantean.

    Pero en tanto alcanzan la capacidad operacional de diseminación, los terroristas tratan de generar un estado de opinión de alarma social. Por lo que es necesario estar vigilantes ante brotes de enfermedad, activando los sistemas de vigilancia epidemiológica para analizar la situación. Por otro lado, es prioritario potenciar la educación sanitaria de la población y potenciar los sistemas de salud pública para luchar contra enfermedades como el ébola.

    There are comments on the Internet concerning the interest of jihadist’s organizations to use the Ebola virus in terrorist attacks. For that, they would be willing to use volunteers ("Ebola martyrs") or dirty bombs to spread the virus. For which they would have to have passed a series of milestones for success (procurement, production, testing and dissemination).

    Our advantage is that it is not as simple as they arise. But while reaching operational capability of dissemination, they try to create a climate of social alarm.

    Meanwhile we have to be vigilant for disease’s outbreaks, enabling surveillance systems to analyze the situation. On the other hand, the priority is to enhance the health education of the population and to enhance the public health system to fight diseases like Ebola.
