Resumen de China, la quinta pata del inestable banco ucraniano

  Dejando al margen los hipotéticos perjuicios o beneficios –tanto geopolíticos como económicos- que la crisis que se vive en Ucrania realmente pueda llegar a reportar a los propios ucranianos, a EEUU, la Unión Europea y la Federación Rusa, existe un aspecto mucho menos conocido de este complejo escenario que es la involucración de China en él.

  Para intentar aportar algo de luz a este respecto, a lo largo del documento se analizará lo que Pekín podría perder, a tenor del marco existente antes del comienzo de la conflictividad. Así mismo, se estudiará cómo el gobierno chino está procurando dar la vuelta a la situación para, haciendo gala de su prudencia y astucia proverbiales, transformar esas debilidades en nuevas oportunidades, en un intento de obtener la mayor ventaja posible para sus intereses.

  Leaving aside the hypothetical damages or benefits -both geopolitical and economic- that the crisis that exists in Ukraine really might mean for the Ukrainians themselves, the United States, the European Union and the Russian Federation, there is a much less-known aspect of this complex scenario which is the participation of China in it.

  To try to bring some light to this regard, throughout the document it will be discussed what Beijing could lose, according to the framework existing prior to the start of the conflict. Likewise, it will be studied how the Chinese government is attempting to turn around the situation, and demonstrating its proverbial prudence and cunning, to transform these weaknesses into new opportunities, trying to obtain the greatest possible advantage for their interests.
