    RESUMEN: Utilizaremos todo el material bibliográfico existente a nuestro alcance para dilucidar el origen etimológico del japonesismo ginkgo y explicar cuáles fueron las causas que motivaron la adaptación del étimo japonés a las lenguas europeas.

    ABSTRACT: We will use all the existing bibliographical material at our disposal to elucidate the etymological origin of gingko and to determine the reasons why the japanese etymon changed through the adaptation into the european languages.
