    The article explores historical experiences and memorialistic processes that contributed to the construction of Tuca identity as a theatrical space in which the mystique of resistance is incorporated into the theatrical building itself. The central argument is that the symbolic identity that history gives to the theatrical building is also tributary to deliberate movements of the university community that in different conjunctures sought to update meanings and marks of this memory of resistance to dictatorship.

    O artigo explora experiências históricas e processos memorialísticos que contribuíram para a construção da identidade do Tuca como lugar teatral no qual a mística da resistência se incorporou ao próprio edifício teatral. O argumento principal é o de que a identidade simbólica que a história confere ao edifício teatral é também tributária de movimentos deliberados da comunidade universitária, que, em conjunturas diversas, buscou atualizar sentidos e marcos dessa memória da resistência à ditadura.
