Resumen de Base de datos de foraminíferos bentónicos del Neógeno (Cuenca del Bajo Segura, Alicante)

We have developed a benthic foraminifers data-base specifically for the latest Neogene of the Bajo Segura Basin (Province of Alicante, Spain). This database framework is composed of several information fields. The aim of the database is to assist in the paleoecological interpretation of the recorded fossil assemblages, facilitating the taxonomic determinations and expediting the numerical análisis of the faunal assemblages. This database is applying in the study of the paleoenvironmental and sequential evolution of the Messinian and Pliocene in the Bajo Segura Basin, Alicante.
