Resumen de Ensayo de síntesis sobre la evolución cuaternaria de l'Albufera d'Elx (Alicante)

The micropaleontological and sedimentological analysis of material from six mechanical cores carried out in the context of the Albufera d'Elx allowed us to characterize different sedimentary environments: alluvial, restricted lagoon, lagoon with marine communication, infralittoral, mesolittoral, supralittoral, swampy, washover fan, backbarrier flat, etc. The chronostratigraphic correlation of these cores allows the proposal of a model of evolution of this space during the last 12 isotopic stages of the Quaternary chronology.
