  • Resumen
    • Jiménez de Cisneros sent palaeontological and petrological material from the provinces where he focussed his studies to the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales. This material came from Alicante, Murcia and Albacete, the town of Cabra (Córdoba), or more scarcely from Santander and Jaén. The ages of the fossils go from the Triassic to the Neogene periods. The ones of the Triassic, Lias, Eocene and Neogene periods were also the ones that he studied. Nowadays, do still exits those samples donated by Jiménez de Cisneros in the collections of the National Museum, although all those loans are not completed due to troubles of the Museum, mainly in the decades following the Spanish Civil War.
