    • Seismology is a really new science. Since last years of 19th century began the first seismographs in the world (in Spain, on 1898). Seismicity is the knowledge of the proclivity of a territory, region, province, little country or locality concerning the occurrence of one earthquake of the most foreseed intensity. We have only one century of seismometric observations, but the first half with insecure records. For this cause is necessary the assistance of the historical seismicity. Methodology of seismic historical research consists in the processes and behaviour rules that providing maximum profit of the available sources for high quality and quantity in attainment of data about historical earthquakes. Historical earthquakes are the seismes that their parameters had not been able to be defined by automatic geophysical instruments. Territory of present Alicante Province has been researched for the knowledge of historical earthquakes. We present one chart of the most important earthquakes since 71th century in the region of SE. of Spain and one catalogue of the most important earthquakes with epicenters in the province of Alicante. We suggest the works for research a great and complete seismic catalogue of the province of Alicante
