    El transhumanismo se articula en torno a la posibilidad de que el ser humano supere sus limitaciones a través de la tecnología. No es un movimiento humanista, ya que en su centro no está el ser humano sino un posthumano hipotético al que no aplican las restricciones del cuerpo, la enfermedad y la muerte. Sin embargo, la pandemia nos confronta con nuestra propia vulnerabilidad, así como con las limitaciones de la tecnología y las instituciones que las desarrollan. Incorporar la vulnerabilidad y la humildad podría sentar las bases de un nuevo humanismo tecnológico que reconociese que es impresdincible imponer límites y objetivos a la tecnología y respondiese a la necesidad de sentido del ser humano.

    Transhumanism is built around the possibility that human beings overcome their limitations through technology. It is not a humanist movement, since the human being is not at its center. Instead, we find a hypothetical posthuman to which the restrictions of the body, disease and death do not apply. However, the pandemic confronts us with our own vulnerability, as well as with the limitations of technology and the institutions that develop them. Incorporating vulnerability and humility could lay the foundations for a new technological humanism that recognizes that it is essential to impose limits and objectives on technology and responds to our deep need for meaning
