"Che" Guevara. La novela gráfica: cuando la historieta construye el mito

    La historieta ‘« Che » Guevara, la novela gráfica’ (2012) de Marco Rizzo y Lelio Bonaccorso presenta una originalidad que merece una atención particular en el tratamiento de la figura de Ernesto Che Guevara, rebelde por excelencia. Para empezar, el relato primero de la foto de Alberto Korda, « Guerrillero heroico », encarnación del carisma triunfante, es pretexto para narrar unos episodios principales de la vida del revolucionario argentino. Construida en un vaivén temporal, una serie de flashbacks cuentan las etapas novelescas del Che eludiendo cierto número de acontecimientos igualmente importantes en la construcción y elaboración del hombre que fue Ernesto Guevara. Esta selección, o más precisamente esta exclusión, plantea, por consiguiente, el tema de la representación del héroe planteada por los autores. Considerada bajo la perspectiva de la memoria, podemos preguntarnos si esta construcción singular testimonia de una distancia entre la realidad histórica y las elecciones narrativas susceptibles de alejarse, a veces, de la verdad. Por otra parte, más allá de la narración de la vida heroica, aunque incompleta, el lector curioso y atento es invitado a leer de nuevo la obra con el propósito de descubrir un segundo nivel de lectura diseminado en la historieta. Al utilizar un mecanismo propio del Noveno arte, los autores construyen tres micro relatos que contribuyen en la fijación del retrato heroico y revelan la clave de lectura para alcanzar el horizonte prometido por los autores en la contraportada: la historia de la famosa foto del « Guerrillero heroico » de Alberto Korda. Una historieta carismática a la altura del mito y del carisma guevarista.

    Marco Rizzo and Lelio Bonaccorso comic ‘« Che » Guevara, la novela grafica’ (2012) presents an original feature that deserves a particular attention when approaching the figure of Ernesto Che Guevara, the ultimate rebel. First, the story of Alberto Korda’s picture “guerillero heroico”, embodiment of the victorious charisma, relates the main chapters of the Cuban-Argentinian revolutionary life. Built on a temporal back and forth, a flashbacks series retells Che’s romantic stages, eluding a number of events that are as much as important of those in the construction and the shaping of the man who was Ernesto Guevara. This selection, or more precisely, this exclusion, addresses the question of the representation of the hero addressed by the authors. Seeing from the angle of the recollection, does this singular construction show a distance between the historical reality and the narrative bias likely to be far from the truth? Moreover, beyond the narration of the heroic life, although incomplete, the curious and attentive reader is invited to read again the work in order to discover a second level of reading disseminated in the comic book. Using a particular mechanism of the 9th Art, the authors build 3 micro stories that play a part in fixing the heroic portray and in revealing the reading key. This leads to understand where the authors wanted to head in the 4th cover: the story behind the famous shot “Guerillero heroico” by Alberto Korda. A charismatic comic that comes up to the myth and the guevarist charisma.
