    • During the lockdown due to Covid-19, libraries were organized in order to satisfy the requests of their users, at least as far as document delivery was concerned. Initially, publishers increased the number of electronic resources available for free. Then, the libraries of italian universities undertook to notify everything that each specific library had published online. The NILDE member institutions made their mailing list “NILDE-forni” available in order to free up resources faster. Finally, two very similar initiatives with very different aims and characteristics were disseminated. The IFLA’s Document Delivery and Resource Sharing Section (DDRS) made a platform, which is available until August 31, for searching journal articles or parts of book in every member library; the service is operated by volunteers and is aimed at mutually supporting libraries during the current library closure (RSCVD, Resource Sharing CoViD). Ex Libris, instead, made Rapid-ILL available for the University of Florence; it is a service through which you can request articles of specialist periodicals from the 340 member libraries all over the world; it is available until August 30 as a free trial. This article compares RSCVD to Rapid-ILL.
