  • This paper reviews on and introduces major findings of our published research (Nasioulas, 2010, in Greek). For the first time we are in a position to positively identify the Social Economy field in Greece. Implementing CIRIEC, UN and EU already applied methodologies we introduce the first integrated Greek Social Economy Organizations Register. This register includes all institutions belonging to Social Economy, all institutional regulations concerning their establishment and operation, along with public and private institutions keeping related registers. All above are classified according to ESA 95 Institutional Sectors allowing for aconsequent Satellite Account building for Social Economy in Greece. Greek Social Economy institutional history and current trends are also discussed.
