    La obra teatral Perros en danza de María Velasco González combina los testimonios y una precisa reelaboración dramatúrgica en la que intervienen historia e intrahistoria, canciones del pasado y música contemporánea, en la que se pierde el rigor histórico a favor del tiempo subjetivo de la memoria. Esta se hace activa asumiendo los rasgos de la postmemoria, a través de cuentos y testimonios que pasan a la generación presente, incluso a nivel emocional. Los recuerdos que toman vida en el escenario a través de unos personajes diferentes por clase social e ideología, devuelven al espectador lo cotidiano de la época que va desde la Segunda República hasta la Guerra Civil, en las casas, por las calles, en los cafés cantantes y motivan la necesidad de recordar sin prejuicios una época atormentada. La obra, útil y legítima, lleva a la revisión de convicciones sobre el pasado y a cuestionarse sobre eventos históricos universales, para que vuelvan a significar algo para un público contemporáneo.

    The play Perros en danza by María Velasco González combines the testimonies and a precise dramaturgical reworking in which history and intrahistory, songs from the past and contemporary music intervene, in which the historical rigor is lost in favor of the subjective time of memory. This becomes active assuming the features of postmemory, through stories and testimonies that pass to the present generation, even at an emotional level. The memories that take life on stage through characters, different by social class and ideology, outline to the public the everyday life of the period that goes from the Second Republic to the Civil War, in the houses, in the streets, in the nightclubs and motivate the need to remember a tormented age without prejudice. The work, useful and legitimate, leads to the revision of convictions about the past and to questioning about universal historical events, so that they can mean something for a contemporary audience.
