Resumen de Now What? Advice to Students in a Tightening Hospitality Labor Market

  • Faced with an economy that is in a recession, a hospitality industry that is bearing the brunt of the effects of the September 11 tragedy, and a tightening labor market, graduating seniors in hospitality management programs are scrambling to find employment. Whereas in years past recruiters would come to them and make multiple job offers, students now have to be more pro-active and find jobs themselves. This article looks at ways in which hospitality management programs can support their graduating seniors, primarily by showing them alternative job search strategies and helping them adopt a different mindset.
