  • Resumen
    • The hospitality industry, more than ever before, is facing increased multicultural diversity in terms of workforce and tourists using lodging and food and beverage facilities. These changing social statistics require adjustments in the industry, including that of modifying the education of future managers to include the learning of foreign languages, particularly Spanish. This paper is concerned with investigating the prevalent trends of foreign language teaching in hospitality institutions offering baccalaureate degrees and with establishing the general principles of implementing a foreign language curriculum in higher education hospitality programs.
