Resumen de Matemática de las Operaciones Financieras e Inversión y los TFG en el Grado de Economía de la UB

  En este trabajo se explica el funcionamiento de los Trabajos de Final de Grado (TFG) en la Facultat d’Economia i Empresa de la Universitat de Barcelona y, en particular, en el Grado de Economía. Se consideran aspectos relativos a la normativa que los regula, sus tipologías, créditos asignados, dedicación del estudiante, funciones del tutor, su estructura, y finalmente, su sistema de evaluación. Posteriormente se lleva a cabo un análisis de las diferentes líneas temáticas ofrecidas, haciendo especial énfasis en la línea temática Análisis financiero de préstamos y de operaciones de renta fija, ofrecida por el Departamento de Matemática Económica, Financiera y Actuarial, que está asociada a la asignatura optativa Matemática de la Operaciones Financieras e Inversión. Por último, se analizan las calificaciones obtenidas por los estudiantes matriculados en el TFG de la citada línea temática y la correlación de estas con las calificaciones obtenidas en la asignatura optativa Matemática de la Operaciones Financieras e Inversión.

  In this document we comment operational aspects and academic results result related to the completion by students of the final project in order to get the Bachelor’s degree in Economics at the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Barcelona. First, we focus on the rules that regulate the elaboration and assessment of a final project: its different typologies, the structure of the project, the number of credits assigned, the functions of the tutor and the estimated hours devoted to the project by the student. Concerning final projects supervised by teachers of the Department of the Department of Actuarial, Financial and Economic Mathematics we focus on the projects related to the Financial Analysis of loans and fixed income trades, completed by students who have previously follow a course of Financial Mathematics. The aim of this study is to analyse the correlation between the grades obtained by these students in that undergraduate course with the grades obtained in the final project.
