Resumen de Tebeos con clase. Una propuesta de integración de los cómics en los centros educativos

  Tebeos con clase es el nombre que recibe, desde el curso 2010/2011, un Seminario de Trabajo Intercentros, con sede en el CEP La Laguna, en Tenerife. Persigue el objetivo de crear recursos para la formación permanente del profesorado en torno al fomento de la lectura y el uso trasversal del cómic en las áreas y materias de la enseñanza. Los materiales generados durante este periodo cuentan con el aval de la Consejería de Educación y Universidades del Gobierno de Canarias, que les ha dado soporte material (actualmente las exposiciones y tebeotecas itinerantes pueden solicitarse en todos los CEP de las Islas) y ha publicado sus propuestas en la web institucional. En los últimos cursos, han profundizado, además, en un enfoque novedoso: favorecer a través del contacto, real o virtual, con autores de cómic, el conocimiento consciente del proceso creador de los profesionales del medio para fomentar la creatividad artística en las aulas. Para ello se ha contado con la complicidad de destacados dibujantes de Canarias, como Rayco Pulido y Eduardo González, a partir de cuya obra se plantean ahora nuevos enfoques y actividades en torno al cómic: explorar el cómic autobiográfico y sus posibilidades narrativas en el aula; realizar prácticas de lectura, escritura e indagación intertextual a través de clásicos de la literatura adaptados al cómic o explorar las relaciones del medio con otros lenguajes artísticos.

  Classy Comics is the name of a workshop seminar held at the Center for Research in the Education of Secondary Teachers (CEP, Tenerife), since 2010/2011. Its main object is the creation of continuous training resources aimed at encouraging reading and the mainstreaming use of comic books in diverse fields and teaching disciplines. The contents produced throughout these years have obtained the approval from the Board of Education and Universities of the Canary Islands Government, which has provided material support (currently itinerant exhibitions and comic-libraries may be applied for by any secondary school in the archipelago) and posted its proposals on the institutional website. Over the last years, the workshop has followed a novel approach, that of enabling, through either physical or virtual contact, the encounter with cartoonists. Delving into the creative process of these professionals has stimulated and furthered artistic creative skills in the classroom. So far we have been able to count on the complicity of some of the most prominent comic artists in the Canary Islands, such as Rayco Pulido and Eduardo González. Based on the results of their work study, new approaches and activities arise: the exploration of autobiographical comics and their narrative developments in the classroom; reading exercises, writing and intertextual investigation through the adaptation of some of the literary classics to comic books, as well as the research of the relations between this and other art forms.
