Resumen de El estudio de las celebraciones musicales en España y Portugal: explorando nuevas perspectivas

Las celebraciones musicales cuentan con una creciente presencia e importancia en España y en Portugal durante las últimas décadas. Son múltiples los interrogantes que podemos formular acerca de las fiestas, los festivales y otros eventos: sus características, sus principales usos y significados, su funcionamiento o las motivaciones de organizadores y participantes. También resulta necesario investigar qué recursos movilizan y qué tipos de impactos generan en sus lugares de celebración. Los artículos que constituyen el presente dossier temático se centran en estas cuestiones que son relevantes para la Etnomusicología actual. A su vez, muestran algunos de los principales resultados del proyecto de investigación I+D+i titulado “Los festivales y celebraciones musicales como factores de desarrollo socioeconómico y cultural en la Península Ibérica"

Musical celebrations have had a growing presence and importance in Spain and Portugal in recent decades. There are many questions that we can pose about festive celebrations, festivals and other similar events: their characteristics, their main functions and meanings, their workings or the motivations of organizers and participants. It is also necessary to investigate what kind of resources they mobilize and what types of impacts they generate in the places where they take place. The articles included in this special issue focus on these and other topics that are relevant to current Ethnomusicology in the Iberian Peninsula and beyond. They also show some of the main results of the R + D + i research project entitled “Music festivals and celebrations as factors of socioeconomic and cultural development in the Iberian Peninsula”.
