  This article it has the general objective identify and characterize the variables that influence the level of motivation of injection molding operators the company object of this study. The research is based on theoretical review of the footwear industry and the people management and was conducted using the qualitative and quantitative approaches. As data collection technique was carried out with the in-depth interview with three managers of the organization and application of questionnaires to employees of the operational sector. The results show that operators have low levels of motivation, which may be compromising their involvement and commitment to the organization's objectives.

  Este trabalho tem como objetivo geral identificar e caracterizar as variáveis que influenciam o nível de motivação dos operadores de injetoras da empresa objeto deste estudo. A pesquisa é fundamentada em revisão teórica sobre a indústria calçadista e a gestão de pessoas e foi conduzida utilizando as abordagens qualitativa e quantitativa. Como técnica de coleta de dados, procedeu-se com a entrevista em profundidade com três gestores da organização e aplicação de questionários aos colaboradores do setor operacional. Os resultados demonstram que os operadores apresentam baixos níveis de motivação, o que pode estar comprometendo seu envolvimento e comprometimento com os objetivos da organização.
