    En los últimos años, distintos gobiernos regionales han alzado la voz para resaltar la necesidad de reforzar su papel en la búsqueda de medidas de fondo hacia una política de asilo común clara y coherente, que retome las voces de los actores en los diferentes niveles de gobierno. Es por ello que, el objetivo central de esta aportación es examinar las acciones que se han emprendido en las regiones representadas en el Comité Europeo de las Regiones de dos Estados Miembros –España y Alemania-, con el objetivo de responder a las preguntas de investigación: ¿cuáles han sido las principales iniciativas para gestionar el asilo en las diferentes regiones de Alemania y España?, ¿influyen variables como la ideología de los gobiernos regionales, la riqueza, el desempleo, el número de solicitudes, en el compromiso de acogida e integración de las personas solicitantes de asilo? Identificando, entre otros aspectos que, a pesar de las barreras impuestas desde la escala estatal, son más los gobiernos regionales que han emprendido acciones solidarias.

    In recent years, different regional governments have raised their voices to highlight the need to reinforce their role in the search for substantive measures towards a clear and coherent common asylum policy, that takes up the voices of the actors at different levels of government. As a result, the main objective of this contribution is to examine the actions that have been undertaken in the regions represented in the European Committee of the Regions of two Member States -Spain and Germany- with the aim of answering the research questions: What have been the main initiatives to manage asylum in the different regions of Germany and Spain? Do variables such as the ideology of regional governments, wealth, unemployment and the number of applications influence on the commitment to the reception and integration of asylum seekers? To identify, among other aspects, that despite the barriers imposed from the state level, there are more regional governments that have undertaken solidarity actions.
