    • Biogas is produced using solid-state anaerobic digestion of dairy manure. When the moisture content varies from 70% to 83%, the methane yield potential rises from 63 to 90 Nm3/ton-VS, and the retention time decreases from 67 to 43 days. The optimal production rate of methane is 2.01 Nm3/ton-VS/day. Increasing number of the digesters, the fluctuation range of methane production rate goes from ±1.92 to ±0.02Nm3/ton-VS/days when number of digester goes from one to nine. CHP generation has been studied using dual-fuel engine. By varying the biogasair dosing intake, the production of 3.15 kW of break power and 4.94 kW of thermal power was obtained. The optimal operating condition involves consumption of 3.36 10−4 kg/s of biogas and 1.45 10−4 kg/s of diesel. This biogas flow rate can be achieved through the digestion of the effluents of a farm that can produce 197 kg of dried manure per day.
