    Se analiza el proyecto de un cinematógrafo en Cáceres que no llegó a ser erigido. Se efectúa un examen del contexto arquitectónico y urbanístico en el que históricamente se sitúa el proyecto, en plena Guerra Civil (año 1937), según diseño del arquitecto José María Pellón y Vierna, de estética conservadora, quien inscribe su propuesta en una skyline monocorde y de carácter institucional, y que reforzaría así, de haberse construido, el ambiente de ciudad provinciana con funciones predominantemente administrativas.

    This paper analyses the project of a movie theater in Cáceres that was never built. It makes a research on the architectural and urban context in which the project is historically situated, in the middle of the Spanish Civil War (1937), according to the design of the architect José María Pellón y Vierna, with a conservative aesthetic view, who inscribes his proposal in a flat urban skyline of an institutional nature, and which would thus reinforce, if it had been built, the atmosphere of a provincial city with pre-dominantly administrative functions.
