    Este trabajo tiene la intención de entender el papel que jugaron los usuarios-regantes del sistema de riego del Plan de San Bartolo, en el estado mexicano de Michoacán durante la segunda mitad del siglo XIX. Tomando en cuenta para ello: la relación del sistema hidráulico y la organización social cohesiva, la organización de los regantes para operar el sistema hidráulico y resolver conflictos, la implicación de gran cohesión social de las obras hidráulicas realizadas por los propios regantes, la capacidad de los regantes de negociar con el Estado.

    This work intends to understand the role played by the users-irrigators of the irrigation system of the Plan de San Bartolo, in the Mexican state of Michoacán during the second half of the 19th century. Taking into account for this: the relationship of the hydraulic system and the cohesive social organization, the organization of the irrigators to operate the hydraulic system and resolve conflicts, the implication of great social cohesion of the hydraulic works carried out by the irrigators themselves, the capacity of irrigators to negotiate with the State.
