    En base a literatura olvidada o poco conocida (en idioma alemán), el texto retoma la discusión teórica en torno a los diferentes modelos de modernización acelerada y autoritaria, que en el tercer mundo fueron muy apreciados hasta aproximadamente 1980. Este debate fue iniciado con la Revolución de Octubre en la antigua Rusia, y ahora, después del relativo fracaso del neoliberalismo, recobra vigor en algunos ámbitos de las periferias mundiales. Este modelo fue y es popular porque permite combinar una tradición político-cultural autoritaria y premoderna con un intento sistemático de acumulación y modernización de tipo tecnocrático.

    Based on little known or forgotten German literature, the text returns to the theoretical discussion about the different models of accelerated and authoritarian modernization, which were highly appreciated in the third world up until the 1980’s. This debate began with the October Revolution in Old Russia. Now, after the relative failure of neoliberalism, it gained strength in certain perimeters of the world. This model was popular and it still is because it allows the combination of an authoritarian and premodern political-cultural tradition with a systematic attempt toward a technocratic accumulation and modernization.
