En este trabajo presentamos el Archivo Fotográfico del IES “Santiago Apóstol” de Almendralejo, formado por un amplio conjunto de fotografías que datan desde sus inicios como Instituto Laboral en el año 1950 y se extienden hasta el presente. Este conjunto de fotografías constituye un valioso patrimonio documental que nos ayuda a conocer mejor la historia de nuestro centro, la de su municipio y comarca, así como la historia general de la educación y de la propia fotografía en Extremadura, desde la segunda mitad del siglo XX.

In this article we present the photographic archive of Santiago Apóstol secondary school from Almendralejo, which consists of a wide set of pictures dating from its beginning as a polytechnic school in 1950 until the present time. The pictures represent a valuable documentary heritage that helps us explore the history of our school, the town and district where it is located as well as the general history of education and photography in Extremadura from the second half of the 20th century.
