    The attitude that Ramon Llull keeps in front of the Arab sources is a progress in historical terms. His writings offer a rationalistic and discursive orientation which starts to recognize the part of truth contained in the messages of ‘Quran, that is to say, a certain point of contact. It was only necessary to correct, to bring about with useful and right readings, to tolerate the diversity and the difference, which is exactly one of the Aristotelian categories, a property of the Nature and, finally, a positive trait of the world, of the city of the world that Llull dreamed.

    L’actitud que manté Ramon Llull davant les fonts àrabs és un progrés en termes històrics. Els seus escrits ofereixen una actitud racionalista i discursiva que parteix de reconèixer la part de veritat continguda en els missatges de l’Alcorà, és a dir, un cert punt d’unió. Només calia corregir, educar amb lectures útils i correctes, tolerar la diversitat i la diferència, que és, precisament, una de les categories aristotèliques, una propietat de la Natura i, en fi, un tret positiu del món, de la ciutat del món que Llull va somiar. Llull, de tant en tant, omplia el seu got amb l’aigua de les fonts islàmiques, amb les quals podia confirmar les veritats cristianes.
