This article studies three of the homilies De statuis of John Chrysostom which he delivered in 387: two that have always been part of the collection – Ad finem ieiunii and Nuper dictorum – together with the homily In Ps. 145, restored to the collection by Andrius Valevicius. Taking all three (Ad finem ieiunii has been studied previously), an attempt is made to determine the days on which they were spoken, in disagreement with the suggestion of Frans Van de Paverd which is followed by the majority of authors. Thus, Ad finem ieiuniiis found to belong to the Friday before Palm Sunday, In Ps. 145 to Holy Monday and Nuper dictorum to Holy Thursday. In a brief appendix, dates are suggested for the delivery in 388 of the homilies 31 and 32 In Genesim and of the catechisms I and II of the Papadopoulos-Kerameus series of the same year
