El objetivo central de este artículo es describir y reflexionar tres proyectos del artista mexicano, Jorge Méndez Blake: El Castillo, La Biblioteca Borges y Traslaciones topográficas, considerándolos como dispositivos de creación artística, según las propuestas de Foucault y Deleuze; y relacionarlos con su formación académica, su posición como lector crítico de escritores clásicos y como artista que no cesa de investigar y poner en práctica sus ideas y motivaciones; además del sólido manejo del espacio, adquirido en su carrera de arquitecto; pero también de varios artistas conceptuales de los años setenta, e incluso de un artista contemporáneo como Allan Sekula y su compromiso artístico y político. Especialmente importante es el lugar que ocupan en su creación las bibliotecas y los libros, evidenciando la relevante influencia de Jorge Luis Borges
The central objective of this article is to describe and reflect three projects of the mexican artist, born in Guadalajara, Jorge Méndez Blake: The Castle, The Library Borges and topographic Translations, think over as devices for artistic creation, according to the proposals of Foucault and Deleuze; and relate them with their academic training, its position as a critical reader of classic writers and as an artist who never ceases to investigate and put his ideas into practice and motivations, commitmentin addition to the solid management of space acquired in his career as an architect; but also of a number of conceptual artists of the 1970s, and even of a contemporary artist as Allan Sekula and its political and artistic. Especially important is the place they occupy in its creation the libraries and books demonstrating the prominent influence of Jorge Luis Borges
